Hummel Park offers several shelter houses and gazebos for rent for a variety of events. Our shelter houses and gazebos are located in various locations throughout the park and can offer close proximity to playgrounds, the splash pad, restrooms, shaded and wooded areas, and more. You may discuss the location of your preferred shelter with our staff when you call or visit.

To determine availability and pricing for your shelter house or gazebo rental, please call our office at (317) 839-9121 today. You will be required to visit our office during regular hours to reserve any facility and pay for your reservation. Please contact us for more details on renting a shelter house or gazebo.

Our shelter houses feature picnic tables and large charcoal grills. Most also offer electrical service and will seat 50-60 people. Our largest shelter house will seat up to 100 people.

Our gazebos have picnic tables, a small charcoal grill and electrical service, and will seat 25-30 people.

Facility Rules

The facility must be left in reasonably the same condition in which it was rented. The person who signs the rental agreement is responsible for paying any fees, fines or charges resulting from cleaning, repairs and violation of rules. Any fees or charges will first be deducted from the damage deposit, with any remaining balance being due upon invoicing. Any damage or mishaps must be reported immediately to the staff person on duty. Failure to report such incidents may result in additional fees being charged, and the renter and/or guests forfeiting the remainder of their rental period or future rentals at Hummel Park.

It is the responsibility of the renter to make the park administrator aware at the time of rental of any intent to use inflatable games or bounce houses, amplified sound, grills, tents, etc. Additionally, specific activities should be discussed at the time of rental.

Any and all types of paint, glitter, confetti and spray string are prohibited. Use of such material will result in cleaning fees being assessed.

Throwing bird seed and/or rice is prohibited. Bubble soap is allowed outside the facility.

Overloading of electrical circuits may result in renter being assessed fees for damages.

Items may not be attached to the ceilings, walls, posts or fixtures of the facility.
